We prove that NIP nilrings of bounded nilexponent are nilpotent. We also deduce that NIP $ω$-categorical $n$-Engel Lie algebras of characteristic $p>n$ are nilpotent, yielding a case of the Lie algebra analogous of Wilson conjecture for $ω$-categorical groups.
